The air conditioner in the first room was not functioning well, making it quite uncomfortable in the heat. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing, as the garbage had not been taken out during my stay. I’ve truly enjoyed staying here in the past, but these issues have left me feeling underwhelmed this visit.

The queen room with lake view was spacious and super comfortable. It had a mini fridge, microwave, air conditioning, and nice cable channels on the TV. The indoor pool area was large and well-kept, with a hot tub perfect for relaxing. Breakfast included yummy options like pancakes and fresh fruit. Location provided stunning views of Lake Superior right outside.

Quality Inn Ashland boasts lovely decor that feels like a private lodge. I appreciated the easy access to the lakeside views and picnic areas, perfect for enjoying the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere as a senior traveler.

The bathroom felt cramped, and it could really use hard floors instead of carpet. Outside noise from the pool area was noticeable, particularly when energetic kids were splashing around, making it tough to catch some quiet downtime. Also, the refrigerator had a giant ice buildup in the freezer that made it unusable for ice packs, and the dehumidifier was packed full, which I had to handle myself.

The queen room with two queen beds and a lake view offered an incredible view of Lake Superior, especially at night with the full moon reflecting on the water. The beds were really soft, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. I loved that there was a mini fridge and microwave—great for snacks and leftovers. The breakfast bar had a good selection, including scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, and fresh fruit, everything I tried tasted fresh and delicious. However, during my stay, I ran into a few issues. The bathroom felt a bit cramped, and while the room's decor was charming, it felt dated with some damage on the walls. There were some maintenance issues too, like low water pressure and inconsistent temperatures in the shower. Additionally, noise from the pool area could be distracting during the day, especially with excited kids enjoying the water. Overall, despite these minor inconveniences, I would absolutely stay at this Quality Inn again for the atmosphere and great view.
